ASTRON's quality assurance goal is to make parts to your specifications 100% of the time. To accomplish this goal we have designed and implemented a quality system that puts emphasis on the front end of our administrative and manufacturing cycles. A unique "Process Control Plan" (PCP) is developed for each part we manufacture. The development of the PCP takes into consideration inspection techniques, equipment required, and SPC disciplines to best match the process to the product.

ISO 9002 - QS 9000 - ISO/TS - 16949:2002
	Astron has been ISO 9002 registered since April of 1996, QS 9000 registered since 1999 and received TS 16949:2002 registration in July of 2005. Our quality system has been reviewed and accepted by companies from a variety of industries including automotive, appliance, defense, medical and plumbing/HVAC.
In the continual quest for process improvements, Astron utilizes independent Cpk studies to determine accuracy and stability of significant dimensions after tooling rework or new tool build. The accompanying chart for Stanadyne Automotive represents a non-critical dimension to the customer, but a feature internally considered worthy of attention to monitor tooling performance. As the Cpk value is greater than 1.4, confidence is high that stability of this characteristic will remain constant. Astron is a recipient of Stanadyne's "Top 10 Vendor Award" for quality and service.
